The Purple People Eater Zoanthid (a rare color morph of Zoanthus Solanderi) was named after a song from the 50s and is probably the first zoanthid with a trade name. Its extra large dark-purple polyps, neon-green mouths and equally colored tentacles make it one of the most beautiful of all zoanthids. In almost 10 years of exploring the Caribbean we have only found this rare color morph only once.
